Let's Try Some Hair Styles (:

Hey! I’m Valerie, and I’m not embarrassed to say that I spend a majority of my free time watching hair tutorials. But like a lot of people who watch these videos, I feel like I never get the style exactly right, it falls out within minutes, I can’t do it all together, or it’s just too time consuming to feasibly do for everyday wear. So I decided to start a blog where I would try out different hair styles I find online (and show you some I already know and love) and see how do- able they really are. I hope to give some advice and let you all know how to best complete a hairstyle with minimal frustration because, trust me, I’ve been there. (:

So! Let’s get started!

I’ve been seeing the waterfall braid a lot lately, both on Tumblr and on other websites I often find myself browsing. I think it’s awesome because it’s really pretty, has a nice styled yet effortless look to it, and you can wear it a variety of ways. I started practicing this braid as a way to pull back my bangs on one side of my face, and after a bit of practice I decided I was ready to extend it a little further. So this is what I came up with! When I do it again I think I’m going to try to keep it a little tighter, especially at the end where there’s a bit of a bump, and slope it further down rather than keeping it straight across. But overall I like this hairstyle! It took me about five minutes for the braid itself (and about twenty minutes to take the picture -___-) and the curls were done yesterday with a curling wand.
